Your Data and Patient Information

Foxo has been built with a ‘privacy and security first’ mindset in conjunction with leading privacy lawyers and security experts.

🔒 Securely managing and transmitting information and patient data is our priority. Whether it’s sending messages, uploading photos, or sharing patient information.

Sharing Patient Information

Foxo was purpose-built to securely, quickly and easily share patient information. Foxo is equivalent to current practice management systems, clinical systems, and referral tools. Like Foxo, they have been built to abide by stringent policies and laws in aid of patient safety and care.

Your Personal Information

We handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as described in our Privacy Policy. Outlined below (Key Foxo security features) are the steps we take to keep your information safe.

Patient Consent

By law, healthcare providers must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or relevant State legislation. Patients should be made aware of how your organisation collects and manages data. This is usually communicated via a patient consent form, a new patient form, a general admissions form or similar. These forms disclose how distributing patient information assists current or future treatment.

As a general rule, only as much information as is reasonably necessary should be conveyed to another healthcare provider.

Responsibility for Privacy

While Foxo takes steps to hold and transfer patient information securely, it does not restrict how you use that information. It’s up to you to make sure that you handle patient information appropriately and lawfully when using Foxo.

Storage of Data

Data is encrypted and stored on secure servers in Australia. All patient data and user data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Foxo is designed to limit access to data to only the intended user at all states of flow.
